Ran 3 miles in Mississippi

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

Went to visit Heather’s folks over the past weekend and I got out and ran 3 miles on Saturday. Ran out a mile and a half and it started sprinkling. Being a slacker, I turned around and ran home. It never did rain.

Second run of the year.

I ran 3 miles on Saturday and walked the 3 back. Not sure how to count the 3 walking on shoe life, so I won’t. The shoes are 7.

Figured out the next half marathon I am running, the Alston & Bird LLP Corporate Cup 2007 on Saturday, March 10, 2007. Now I need to get into shape.

I will start running at least 10 miles a week through the end of January, up it to 20 per week the first half of February, and 30 for the end of February.

First run of the new year

Went running with Bo, Suzie, and her husband on Sunday. Ran 4 miles. It hurt. A lot.

Quicker pace than I normally run, but the main pain came from the lack of running since the 1/2 Marathon. I need to get off of the bench and get back on the field.

I liked the new shoes. I got a pair of Brooks Beast (http://www.brooksrunning.com/prod.php?p=BSI41199.23675) at the trade show prior to the ThunderRoad race and this was my first run in them. I am going to see how much running I can do between now and my birthday (the 11th). I am also going to keep track on here of the ‘age’ of my shoes. They are officially 4 miles old today! Yay!
